How to Increase the Quotas or Limits in AWS?
Quotas, also referred to as limits, are the maximum value for your resources, actions, and items in your AWS account. Service Quotas is an AWS service that enables you to view and manage your quotas from a central location. Here we will discuss the quota for Elastic IPs.
By default, all AWS accounts are limited to five (5) Elastic IP addresses per Region, because public (IPv4) internet addresses are a scarce public resource.
1. To verify how many Elastic IP addresses are in use, open the Amazon EC2 console at "https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/ "and chose Elastic IPs from the navigation pane.
2. To verify your current account limit for Elastic IP addresses, do one of the following:
Open the Amazon EC2 console at "https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/", chose Limits from the navigation pane and type IP in the search field.
3. Open the Service Quotas console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/servicequotas/, type Amazon EC2 in the search field, and choose Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Type IP in the search field.
Now click on "Number of EIPs - VPC EIPs". Once the Page open Click on "Request quota Increase".
4. Another Pop-up will come up. Now enter the value you want to change in "Change quota value" and click on Request button.
