Integrating Cacti Authentication With LDAP/Active Directory (AD) step-wise
1. My cacti Version is Version 0.8.8h.
2. Go to Console -> Cacti Settings.
3. Go to Authentication tab.
4. Choose Authentication method as LDAP Authentication.
5. Give the Guest User Name: .
6. Choose a user template to use from the drop down menu.
7. Give your LDAP/AD server name.
8. Port standard is 389.
9. Port SSL is 636.
10. Protocol Version : version 3
11. Encryption : None
12. Referrals : Disabled
13. Mode : No Searching
14. Distinguished Name (DN) : <username>@example.com
15. Require Group Membership : Not Checked
16. Leave LDAP Group Settings as it is.
17. LDAP Specific Search Settings : Search Base is :
OU=Users,DC=example,DC=com
18. Leave other Fields blank.
19. Leave User Group Permissions as it is.
20. Click on save.
21. Close the Browser Connection.
22. Now call the Login Page. You Should get LDAP Option in Login Page.
